‘take wing make nest’ is a FREE art and poetry event for all the family with artist Ali Harwood and poet Joy Mundy at:
*St Werburghs Community Open Day & Bristol Refugee Festival Launch 4pm-5pm
*Bristol Central Library (Children’s Library) Sunday 9th June 12-2pm
Children and their adults are invited to choose or create a bird to represent themselves as a symbol of journey and adventure, combining this with a nest of patterns, colours and words to describe their feelings and thoughts of what home means to them. The participants will be given the choice to exhibit their birds and nests on a pair of model trees or take them home.
Ali Harwood is an artist, poet, writer and teacher from Bristol. He was the 2023 Artist/Creative of the Year for the Liverpool City Region.
