Cultural Awareness and Creating Welcoming Spaces – Workshop

Do you and your organisation want to create safe and welcoming spaces for people of all backgrounds?

Have you wondered what the unintentional and unforeseen cultural barriers to this might be?

Often, we don’t realise how cultural differences can affect how comfortable, safe and welcome people feel in public spaces. This workshop will explore the key tenants of how to be culturally aware and offer simple, practical tools to apply to your organisation, workplace, public institution or local area to make it a more welcoming space for all people from all different backgrounds, while providing the opportunity to network and share ideas with others in the city who share these same goals.

The interactive session will be two-hours long, and include a short break with teas and coffees provided.

The workshop will be delivered in partnership with Bristol Refugee Festival, Bridges for Communities and Wesport.
