SUMMARY:The Last Lighthouse in Rising Seas – forced migration and poetry
DESCRIPTION:A poetry reading and dialogue between Zimbabwean poet and journalist Ambrose Musiyiwa and Bristol-based ecopoet Helen Moore. \nMusiyiwa co-edits the Africa Migration Report Poetry Anthology Series\, and is the founder of Forced Migration and The Arts\, a global network that brings together people with lived experience of forced migration\, artists\, academics\, activists and art spaces. \nMoore’s latest collection\, The Last Lighthouse in Rising Seas (Palewell Press\, 2026)\, bears witness to forced migration and its links with the climate / ecological crisis. \nThe event will include a Q&A with the audience. \nTicket sales will support Ambrose’s work with Forced Migration and the Arts and the Africa Migration Report Poetry Anthology Series. \nThere will also be a book stall and the opportunity to buy signed copies of The Last Lighthouse in Rising Seas. \nWhen: Friday 12 June 2026\, 7pm – 9pm \nWhere: Bristol Folk House\, 40A Park Street\, Bristol\, BS1 5JG \nTickets: £4 / £6.50
